Bruce Washington, known professionally as Hussein Fatal of veteran rap group The Outlawz, was killed Saturday (July 11) in a car accident.
The new was confirmed by group member Napoleon, who posted about Fatal’s death on his Facebook fan page.
Fatal made his debut at the age of 18 on Tupac’s multi-platinum album All Eyez On Me, and gained further fame with his appearance on the seminal diss track “Hit Em Up.”
Following Tupac’s death, Fatal went on to record with Murder Inc, release his own mixtapes, and appear on reunion projects with The Outlawz.
Fatal was 38 years old.
As a Jersey native, this one hits home. Out of all The Outlawz, Fatal was always the one I thought had the most solo potential. With Pac gone, his label situations never panned out and legal issues (a two-year prison stint) didn’t help matters either. Here are some of my favorite tracks from him. RIP
