SANTA MONICA, CA — 10 days out from his biggest challenge in former titlist Daniel Geale, Gennady Golovkin held an open media workout in Los Angeles. GGG answered a few questions on the matchup and his future targets. From the pictures, GGG has remained in fearsome shape despite taking time off due to the death of his father. Golovkin vs. Geale airs on HBO July 26.

This morning I weighed 164, no problem with my weight.
It’s very important to me to fight at Madison Square Garden, I’m very happy to be fighting in the big Arena this time.
Right now my focus is on Daniel Geale, in the future of course I’d like to fight Miguel Cotto or Canelo Alvarez. Cotto at Madison Square Garden would be perfect.
Hopefully my next fight would be in October or November.
I’m ready to put on a great show on July 26 for the fans in New York.
