50 Cent promised to “levitate” Hot 97’s Summer Jam with a special surprise and lived up to his promise with an official G Unit reunion. 50 Cent hit the stage at the end of Nas’ set, marking the first time those former close friends have shared a stage in well over a decade. While Game was noticeably absent, it was a feel good moment for NY Hip Hop to finally see some unity (Fabolous also performs). Unfortunately, the night couldn’t be completely drama-free, as 50’s crew reportedly jumped Slowbucks (a brief scuffle can be seen around the 11:00 mark). We’ll see if this reunion was a one-night thing, or if new music is forthcoming. Either way, this was good promo for 50 Cent’s Animal Ambition album dropping tomorrow (June 3).
