PHILADELPHIA, PA — IBF light-heavyweight titlist Bernard Hopkins conducted a media workout yesterday at the DSG boxing gym in preparation for his April 19 unification bout against WBA title-holder Beibut Shumenov. At 49 years old, Hopkins is again looking to enter the history books as the older fighter ever to unify world titles.
Prospect Zachary Ochoa, who’ll face Hector Marengo on the Showtime Extreme televised undercard, was also on hand for yesterday’s workout.
