Just weeks after the shocking trade that brought Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett and Jason Terry to the Brooklyn Nets, boxers Paulie Malignaggi, Danny Jacobs and Peter “Kid Chocolate” Quillin were on hand at a press conference last Thursday to welcome the new players to their borough. All three boxers are promoted by Golden Boy Promotions, and the company currently holds an exclusive contract to run fights at the Barclays Center. Let’s hope the Barclays, boxing and NBA get some nice cross-promotional events in place over the next few months.
