NEW YORK CITY, NY — Middleweight contender Matthew Macklin completed his final public workout yesterday in preparation for his title opportunity against WBO belt-holder Gennady Golovkin this Saturday (June 29) on HBO. This will be Macklin’s third crack at a title and from the looks of the below pictures, he whipped himself into the best shape possible. As a full-fledged middleweight, Macklin will be the toughest test of Golovkin’s career. Expect it to be bombs away for however long it lasts.
