A new Jay-Z album is always an event, but the Roc Nation mogul has taken it a step further with tonight’s announcement of his 12th studio album Magna Carta Holy Grail. The project will be released exclusively through Samsung and free to the first 1 million Samsung owners who download the Magna Carta app on June 24. That group will get the album on July 4 (three days before it becomes available to the rest of the world).
Pretty ingenious marketing.
