Traditional R&B has been hurting these days with most singers relying heavily on Hip-Hop and EDM influences to meet current pop demands. There’s still a few artists holding out, and one of those is veteran Donell Jones, who confirmed yesterday the July 9 release date of his sixth studio album Donell Jones Forever.
The project will be released via Entertainment One and Jones’ own label Candyman Music. If you missed it, check out the first single “Forever” below.

Montell Jordan actually lives down here in the Atlanta area is a born-again Christian now. From what I hear it sounds like he’s firmly in Gospel so a R&B comeback on his end isn’t likely anytime soon, unfortunately.
