LAS VEGAS, NV — WBC light middleweight titlist Saul “Canelo” Alvarez and challenger Josesito Lopez completed their last media workout yesterday before Friday’s weigh-in at the MGM Grand.
Both fighters appeared in good shape and may possibly enter the ring close to the same weight. At the seven-day mandatory weigh-in last week, Canelo tipped the scales at 159 with Lopez coming in at 160.
A final press conference will take place at 1 p.m. today at the MGM Grand’s Hollywood Theatre.
