Most hardcore Hip-Hop weren’t excited about the idea of a G.O.O.D. Music-Young Money battle. After hearing this new diss track from Lil Wayne, expect even the casual fans to lose ethusiasm. This is a good example of why saying names doesn’t automatically ensure a better record over a subliminal diss. If the supposed subliminal is clever enough in its wordplay but still clear enough to know exactly who it’s addressing, like Pusha’s “Exodus 23:1,” give me that any day over a “direct” song like this.
