Last night, VH1 aired a one-hour Behind the Music special on the life and career of Nas. The episode covers Nas’ beginnings in Queensbridge, beefs with Tupac and Jay-Z, Distant Relatives and his divorce from Kelis. Although msot of the info is well-known to Nas fans, there are new snippets of new information on Nas’ confrontation with Tupac in New York and one of the main reason for the Kelis split. The big downside is you can tell from the interview clips that a lot more was cut due to the one-hour time constraints. This could easily have gone a full two hours considering the two decades Nas has been in the game.
