Fans have been waiting years for a proper full-length follow-up to Below the Heavens. Blu and Exile have answered those prayers today with a surprise preview of their project Give Me Flowers While I Can Smell Them. While this preview is unmixed and unmastered, it’s still clear enough to get the overall vibe and content. This album is darker production-wise and lyrically. Not dark as in brooding, but the starry-eyed youthfulness of Blu’s old lyrics has been replaced with an expected reflective maturity. The official version is scheduled to drop on December 25.
