Carl Froch: 167.5 lbs.
Andre Ward: 168 lbs.
Prediction: There was a lot of jawing between this two during the staredown. This one is a pick ’em fight and I can easily see either fighter coming out with the victory. Neither one is getting KO’d and it’ll be a highly competitive, if not always edge of your seat exciting, for the entire 12 rounds. Froch will have success on the outside, but I think Ward will be able to get on the inside often, where his mauling and body punching will serve him well. I see a tight Ward decision, 115-113, in a fight that may very well be controversial.
Kell Brook: 148 lbs.
Luis Golarza: 147.5 lbs
Prediction: Although billed as a showcase fight for Brook, he better not underestimate Golarza, who’s a tough fighter coming off a July split decision win over Paul Degaldo. There’s a big talent gap though and Brook likely ends this within the first 3-4 rounds.
