Being a HBO Faceoff ripoff aside, Andre Ward and Carl Froch made for very good TV when they confronted each other with moderator Jim Gray. Froch took the role of instigator in chiding Ward about the durability of his chin and quality of opponents. There’s no real animosity, but it’s clear neither guy wants to come in second after two years of work in the Super Six. Ward counters Froch’s claims that he’s a dirty fighter by highlighting his win over Mikkel Kessler, something Froch failed to do. Ward and Froch meet in the Super Six final on December 17.
