Roy Jones is making a low-key comeback next Saturday (December 10) at Atlanta’s Civic Center when he faces Max Alexander. The calls for retirement were raised higher from fans and media after Jones suffered a last round TKO at the hands of Denis Lebedev in May, marking his third consecutive defeat. After hiring new co-trainer Tom Yankello and sparring with heavyweights in Pittsburgh, Jones is confident he’ll deliver a big knockout to kick off his latest comeback.
I am ready and I am sharp. I have a whole new plan. I’m gonna shock the world with my agility and skill level. In the first round that Max slips, that’s the round he is going down. That may be the 1st, 2nd, 3rd or even the 10th. But, whenever it is, I will knock him out in the first round that he slips, I am ready!
The card, titled King of the Ring 5 Resurrection, will be available via internet pay-per-view at http://www.ustream.tv/royjones.
