This has to be the most appropriately named song of 2011. Nasir Jones is spitting flames over some throwback, Salaam Remi production while returning to his old stomping grounds. Seeing Nas walking the stairs of his Queenbridge projects will remind you of the scenes in “The World Is Yours” video. This is also a reminder of what New York Hip-Hop sounds like when not chasing radio trends. After exploring social activism and African nationalism on his recent projects, it looks like Nas is back in his “Street Hop” steez.
