It’s been a busy night for the “Bawse” of Maybach Music Group. Rick Ross has dropped two singles, one for the street and the other for radio, off the album God Forgives, I Don’t (December 13). Just Blaze really went to work on the street track “Love My Bitches,” which has the shrill soul sample effects and driving basslines that powered his best songs with Jay-Z and Dipset. Unfortunately, Rozay content-wise plays it safe and doesn’t offer anything out of the ordinary even down to the insipid chorus. While not a great track, it’s still good and notable for being one of Just Blaze’s best beats in some time.

The second track screams radio from its initial soft, airy chords. Done with the “bitches” from the first composition, Ross is now ready for love with his main squeeze.  Nicki Minaj’s autotune’d singing notes firmly ensure this song will find no audience with any self-respecting male. The sbland synth-based arrangements are pretty generic for Ross considering his excellent production ear, However, Nicki’s appearance is probably enough to gain this an audience with her teenaged Barbies.

Check them out yourself and see if your interest is enhanced or diminished for Ross’s next album.
