After a few days of reflection, Sean “Diddy” Combs has issued a public apology for cursing out Atlanta patrons at a BET Hip-Hop Awards afterparty in Atlanta last weekend. Video of the incident shows Diddy berating several individuals for not drinking his Ciroc brand of vodka. The confrontation got so heated that T.I., fresh from serving a year sentence for parole violation, had to play mediator. In Diddy’s Twitter statement, he apologizes to all his fans for the “ignorant way” he portrayed himself.
I’m a child God and I should be better no matter what someone says to me. I’m sorry for the ignorant way I represented myself and us … To all my children of God … I have backslid and regressed. Forgive me for my ignorance. Pray for me please. I know better and I am better. I have a responsibility that I promise I will live up to. And I’m more disappointed in myself than you know. I will humble myself and learn … Bottom line is I’m sorry to all! Please find it in your heart to accept my apology. I will do better and be Greater and a source of positivity!
