Retired boxer Micky Ward is auctioning a personal training session to raise funds for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Located in Memphis, Tennesse, St. Jude’s works on prevention and cures for pediatric diseases. The auction winner will get a one hour, in-ring training session with Ward followed by a special lunch.
Highly respected as a tough fighter during his career, Ward gained international recognition from Mark Wahlberg’s portrayal of him in last year’s Oscar-nominated film The Fighter. Wahlberg will reprise his role in a sequel focused on Ward’s action-packed trilogy with the late Arturo Gatti.
