Last year, David Haye infuriated Wladimir Klitschko with a t-shirt depicting both Klitschko brothers with severed heads. For 2011, Haye has upped the ante by producing an iPhone app entitled David Haye’s Knockout.
Created by Haye’s cousin Denny (who holds a doctorate in computer science), the game pits Haye against a towering, unnamed Russian opponent whose stature and attire resembles Wladimir Klitschko. Players must focus on defense and well as offense to win the game. If enough damage is done, the player is rewarded by seeing their opponent’s head fly off and into the ringside seats.
The game debuted today and can be purchased HERE.

I found this hilarious and a very innovative way to hype a fight. U.S. fans have bene ignoring the heavyweights for years, so the anticipation over here hasn’t been as big as it is in the UK. Hopefully that changes after HBO drops its “Face Off” feature. I don’t expect these two to deliver the most exciting fight in terms of in-ring action, but the atmosphere in Germany will be insane. Thankfully, we only have three more weeks.

haha im gonna get that… very original idea…
i hope the atmosphere is good, usually in germany the crowd sit silent and boring, no chanting or anything… there should be loads of uk heads over there to make things lively though
