One of the few bright spots from the Lasers album was “Words I Never Said.” The storyline begins with a female revolutionary figure being captured and subjected to Clockwork Orange-type brainwashing. That leaves Lupe as the man left to liberate her while also trying to wake up the masses. Supporting his quests are a dizzying array of clips on religion, politics, the health industry and Big Brother. Excellent video. We’ll see if Atlantic allows a video for “All Black Everything.”
