Marsha Ambrosius is getting a lot of deserved attention for her debut LP Late Nights & Early Mornings. Her singing and songwriting talents aside, a good musician must know how to improvise during a live show. Marsha showed that skill yesterday when she inexplicably was not supplied with a mic stand for her piano-based performance. She promptly solved that issue by having devoted fan serve as her “personal mic stand (there’s a sexual joke in there somewhere).” Check out her great live rendition of “With You.” There’s a sensuality in her voice that’s sorely missing for a lot of R&B these days.
