It looks like DJ Premier picked a highly appropriate label name with Year Round Records. Since the compilation album dropped (Get Used To Us), he’s been dropping new videos and single consistently. Today, he released his second video from the project, this time courtesy of newcomer Nick Javas. This song is one of the more creative tracks on the album, featuring Javas trying to earn a deal while his performance is rated by Premier after each verse. Of course, Premier’s critique comes in the form of vocal scratches. Javas had a great look earlier this month when he was featured in a NFL commercial with Talib Kweli. No word yet on a solo album date, but it’s almost certain we’ll get one before the end of 2011.
