The boxing world is still buzzing about Manny Pacquiao, and rightly so. He entered the ring a little over the welterweight limit (150 pounds), and essentially beat up a man who weighed close to the 168 pound super-middleweight limit (165 pounds). Nearly all followers of the sport favored Manny big, but it was still highly impressive to see Pacquiao hurt Margarito on the inside with short hooks to the body and head. Margarito’s size gave him a Pyrrhic moral victory. It saved him from a knockout, but resulted in him taking a career-shortening beating.
This YouTube highlight may be able to stay up due to the TV being included, but it’s hard to say. Coming in at well over nine minutes, it’s the best synopsis I’ve seen for people who missed the pay-per-view. Be awed by the skill and savagery.
