In between tour stops, Wiz Khalifa is making media rounds to promote his popular mixtape Kush X OJ, and his new deal with Atlantic Records. Khalifa was a guest recently on Big Boy’s Neighborhood radio show to discuss his first national tour (Waken Baken), and the rumor that he spends $10,000 a month on marijuana.
According to Khalifa, the tour has been sold out at every stop, and he indeed spends roughly $10k per month to support a recreational habit.
“I’m definitely a consumer,” Khalifa confirmed. “Whatever happens happens, I keep it around. It stays around and it’s not free….Some people spend 10 grand on things worse than that.”
His extensive use has resulted in a handful of minor drug arrests. He hopes the marijuana proposition passes in California, and has a domino effect of legalization around the country.
“I’m behind it all the way,” Khalifa stated.
