Snoop Dogg Says Pacquiao Scared, Paul Williams Willing to Replace Mayweather

"Pacquiao, take the blood test. Quit being scared and get in the motherfucking ring," Snoop demanded. "If you really a boxer show that you ain't dirty and that you ain't taking no drugs. Let's get in the ring and give the people what they want. You and Floyd need to scrap one on one, what we waiting on? UFC ain't bullshittin'. "

While Top Rank is using a “Money Time Countdown” to promote their July 16 deadline for the Mayweather-Pacquiao signing, West Coast veteran emcee Snoop Dogg has also gone viral with a clip placing blame on Pacquiao for the fight not happening.

The roughly 45 second clip begins with Floyd Mayweather’s Twitter account flashing and Snoop sending him a shootout. Next, Snoop demands that Pacquiao adhere to the Olympic style drug testing to show he’s clean and not afraid to make the fight. Snoop references UFC’s popularity as a reason this fight must be made, and states the MMA organization doesn’t have this type of bickering when it comes to big fights.

“Pacquiao, take the blood test. Quit being scared and get in the motherfucking ring,” Snoop demanded. “If you really a boxer show that you ain’t dirty and that you ain’t taking no drugs. Let’s get in the ring and give the people what they want. You and Floyd need to scrap one on one, what we waiting on? UFC ain’t bullshittin’. ”

You can feel Floyd’s hands all over this promotional stunt. We’ll see what Top Rank announces later tonight on their site once the “deadline” passes.

While this fight remains in limbo, Paul “The Punisher” Williams’ promoter Dan Goossen is trying to get Pacquiao to consider his fighter as a potential opponent.

Goossen knows the thought of Pacquiao-Williams is very unlikely. Top Rank CEO Bob Arum has already stated that without a Mayweather fight they would keep Pacquiao’s services in-house against either Miguel Cotto in a rematch, or Antonio Margarito. Even with one being a rematch to a lopsided beating, and the other involving a disgraced former champion unlicensed in U.S., both matchups have more marquee value that Williams. The Punisher left the welterweight division several years ago after failing to secure a high-profile bout, and has struggled even at higher weights to secure big-name fights.

“It’d be a travesty to have Manny Pacquiao fight a guy whose license has been taken away,” Goossen explained. “That would be hurtful to Manny’s reputation. Manny’s a great man, but there’s a lot of negative sentiment about Margarito and what he did. These are the things that are not good for our sport. And Cotto is one fight removed from having the tar knocked out of him by Manny. Who wants to see that again?”

While Goossen admits Paul Williams isn’t the most attractive matchup financially for Pacquiao, the veteran promoter believes his client offers something no other fighter outside of Mayweather can give Manny, and that’s an enhanced legacy.

“How can he take this fight against Margarito out of the country, like thieves in the night?” he questioned. “Our sport needs to make the biggest and best fights possible, and without Mayweather, Paul Williams is the richest fight for Pacquiao that’s out there.”

Outside of Pacquiao Paul Williams wa attempting to secure a fight with Shane Mosley, who’s opted to face Sergio Mora instead this September on an independent Golden Boy PPV.

Goossen has verified he will look to renew talks with newly crowned middleweight champion Sergio Martinez for a rematch if the Pacquiao fight is passed on.

  1. its true that ufc doesnt have this kinda bickering boxing has from what i can tell, thats the upper hand ufc has over boxing, the fans fights get made, i guess the the ufc organization making the fights happen and cutting out promoters and saying either fight or leave is a great asset to their sport… the promoters AND fighters can ruin boxing matches, altho we have had some characters (prometers) over the time and is part of boxing and tradition, they do hinder the sport at times and make fighters greedy…

altho, i dont think pacquio is scarred of anyone, do you see the guy laughing and smiling as he enters the ring lmao that would scare the hell outta me seeing a dude like that walk in the ring cracking up laughing to fight me, i would be thinkin this dude is crazy lol

his religion makes him so strong and confident…
