Scott McCord’s Victor, a fan favorite on MGM+’s FROM series, had the character’s most powerful scene to date with an emotionally charged reunion with father Henry (Robert Joy). The veteran actor exclusively spoke with BeatsBoxingMayhem on Victor’s improbable reunion scene, unique alliance with Sara, and where his character’s headed over season three’s second half.
Per McCord, writer John Griffin’s script wasn’t loaded with dialogue or direction. Instead, it relied on the audience’s knowledge of Victor’s town trauma and Henry’s new season three backstory.
“When I saw it on the page it was just so loaded for me,” McCord told BeatsBoxingMayhem. “There’s this lifetime that’s been lost between these two people that Victor feels responsibility for… He has to do something. He has to remember. In the meantime, his father’s arrived and he’s trying to acknowledge this failure. ‘I failed you.’ And from that point moving forward it adds to Victor’s plight in terms of not just saving everyone, but saving his father in that lifetime that was lost.”
