The Buried Alive Film Festival will return to the historic Plaza Theatra this fall for its 16th year of showcasing the most dynamic horror creators worldwide.
Last year, the festival posted a record attendance at 7 Stages Theater. This year marks Buried Alive’s first return to Plaza Theatre since 2012. The venue is Atlanta’s oldest operating cinema and completed an intensive renovation last year.
“We want your goriest, weirdest, most fun, most bizarre, darkest and wildest indie horror and genre films,” said the festival organizers. “If you think your film is too gross or too scary or just too weird, we are the festival for you.”
Feature and short film submissions are open through August 21 via Film Freeway. Winners will be notified on September 1.
BeatsBoxingMayhem will once again provide full coverage and provide more info as available.
