BUENOS AIRES, Argentina — WBC middleweight champion middleweight champion Sergio Martinez makes his return to the ring tomorrow night (April 27) when he faces UK contender Martin Murray. This is Martinez’s first bout since his big victory over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. last September. In addition, it’s Martinez’s first among his countrymen since winning the middleweight title back in 2010. While Martinez has promised a KO, Murray’s promoter Ricky Hatton says he’s seen a new “nasty” streak in his fighter and expects him to pull off the UK’s greatest victory since Hatton himself upset Kostya Tszyu back in 2005.
The fight airs live on HBO beginning at 8:30 p.m. ET. The weigh-in can be viewed HERE.

the hbo commentary where terrible for this fight, saying how the ref done well to call the first knock down a knock down!!! thats what they are paid for, to call blatant knock down, knock downs!!! they also said the second knock down (that they wrong didnt rule a knock down) was due to sergio getting his feet tied up smh they also didnt give murray and credit once for doing a job on martinez, they just said how many injuries sergio has got… loads of things ive forgot now pissed me off…
i think it was round or 2 to sergio, it was mad close though, i think murray needed to let his firsts go more and thru more uppercuts..
done himself proud though!!!
