Just a few months removed from his Well Done album with Statik Selektah, Action Bronson has a new collabation project on deck with Party Supplies entitled Blue Chips. The main downloading point of this mixtape is that it’s filled with all original material. That’s right, Bronson and Party Supplies banged out 16 tracks from what was initially a one-off studio session. The beats are varied: one track might feature symphonic arrangements, while another might have a soul or blaxploitation loop. Bronson navigates them all well while incorporating pop culture nods like snarky homages to pro wrestling personalities.
Consider this a companion piece to Bronson’s upcoming collabaration with none other than the Alchemist.
