This year’s Nobel Peace Prize ceremony in Oslo, Norway honored three women: Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, Leymah Gbowee of Liberia and Tawakkul Karman of Yemen for their peaceful but determined work for women’s rights. Janelle Monae performed two tracks from her critically-acclaimed LP The Archandroid, and a selection featuring Macy Gray, Sugarland, Jill Scott, Ellie Goulding Bernhoft, the World Youth Choir and many others.
