Prisoner of Conscious — a bold album title requires bold music. Talib Kweli appears to be up to the challenge on “Distractions,” which takes aim at frivolous content the media bombards us with from politics to the music industry. If Kweli can hit this theme from all angles, Prisoner of Conscious could be the most ambitious concept album since Nas’ Untitled. Be on the lookout for an Occupy Wall Street-based video dropping on Monday (December 19).
