Cali Swag District’s M-Bone Killed in Drive-by Shooting

M-Bone, real name Montae Talbert, was fired upon while sitting in a parked vehicle. The rapper was shot twice in the chest and died before arrival at the UCLA Medical Center.

Inglewood, California — 22-year-old M-Bone of Cali Swag District was shot and killed yesterday (May 15) in Inglewood, California.

The Inglewood police department confirmed that the shooting took place outside a liquor store in the city’s La Brea section. M-Bone, real name Montae Talbert, was fired upon while sitting in a parked vehicle. The rapper was shot twice in the chest and died before arrival at the UCLA Medical Center.

Police are seeking an undisclosed suspect driving a red Mustang. Witnesses also revealed the killer drove back past the scene shortly after the shooting to verify M-Bone’s death.

Cali Swag District’s hit dance song “Teach Me How to Dougie” was certified platinum last year. The group was working on securing a release date for their debut album, The Kickback. Group member C-Smoove posted his own condolences via Twitter writing, “Ma life changed drastically in the. Blink [sic] of an eye rip mbone.”
