Carlos Molina earned an impressive knockout last night over Allen Conyers in the main event to ESPN’s Friday Night Fights. Outside of an early flash knockdown, Molina proved to be too strong and skilled for Conyers. Some of you might remember Conyers from his shootout with James Kirkland a few years back. In this fight, Molina gave him no such opportunity to land any Hail Mary shots. The win improves Molina’s record to 18-4-2, 6 KOs. He also bounces back from a draw in his last fight with Erislandy Lara in March. Conyers (12-5, 9 KOs) is now 2-3 in his last four fights, with all the losses coming via knockout.
