With all the music dropping daily, it’s quite easy to overlook good music from artists who don’t have a marketing team blowing up your inbox. Earlier this month, Savant and producer iIL Meel dropped the gem “Rely On Me” as part of the former’s Crash Course Leak series. The track is a ode to family and the power of parent-child relationship. Dominique handles the motherhood principle, detailing the miracle of her offspring making it through a difficult pregnancy. Dee Jackson and Savant handle the fatherhood aspect, which of course is sorely missing representation and analysis in Hip-Hop music. A refreshing track that’s worth your time.
