We need more legit groups in Hip-Hop. It’s no surprise to me that a promising young act, Clear Soul Forces, is coming out of Detroit. The Motor City is a hotbed for Hip-Hop talent, and this four-man click composed of Ilajide, Wimpy, E-Fav and and J-Roc hopes to carry on the tradition. They’re just a year deep in the game after releasing their 2010 mixtape Clear Soul Radio. Last fall, they also dropped their latest project, The Departure EP.
This video is their first for that EP, and they recognized the importance of making a great first impression. They decided the best way to impress listeners would be through their lyrical dexterity.
“With the song, we just wanted to showcase everyone in the group’s lyrical abilities,” explained E-Fav. “We want you to know for certain that we can rap.”
