Golden Boy Promotions president Oscar De La Hoya has joined a USO tour to boost U.S. troop morale in the Middle East.
The USO (United Service Organizations) is a non-profit organization that provides entertainment and support for U.S. troops stationed around the world. 2011 marks the 70th anniversary of the group’s efforts.
De La Hoya will be accompanied by Golden Boy fighters Danny Jacobs, Adrien Broner and Seth Mitchell. The group will oversee boxing clinics for soldiers on each tour stop.
For security reasons, the dates and specifics locations of the Middle East tour will not be disclosed.
