Both Devon Alexander and Timothy Bradley delivered a share of trash talk and intimidation tactics a few moments ago at their official weigh-in.
Bradley, sporting a shredded physique particularly in the ab area, tipped the scales right at 140 pounds. Bradley very animated after weighing-in, and almost never let his eyes leave Devon Alexander despite the mass of entourage and officials between them.
Alexander, who told Beats, Boxing & Mayhem that his camp focused on movement and angles, came in at 139.5. Alexander was less defined and looked slightly drawn from his previous weigh-ins.
At the staredown, Bradley was ice-cold and showed no emotion. Alexander appeared smug and belittled Bradley’s demeanor.
The two fighters will meet tomorrow night on HBO at 10 PM EST.
PREDICTION: Alexander has advantages in speed and power. Bradley has shown heart, determination, and the ability to follow remain focused even when hit with adversity (as he showed rising from two knockdowns to outpoint Kendall Holt). I believe that and Bradley’s swarming style will be the difference tomorrow night. I’m not convinced Alexander will have corrected all the glaring issues from the Kotelnik fight, such as being able to fight inside, in just a few months. Still, this is not a fight I’d bet money on.
