This bittersweet footage began making the rounds earlier today. It shows J Dilla doing a sound check to get prepared for a Slum Village concert. The exact date isn’t given, but Baatin’s presence means it had to be late 90’s to early 2000’s. Even from simple moments like this, it’s evident how much music drove Dilla’s life. There will be some sadness while viewing when you think about both Dilla and Baatin being gone. Still, this is well worth checking out.
