The bigger media outlets would have you believe that female emcees have gone the way of the dodo. Enter Washington, DC native Sa-Roc as the latest woman to dispel that myth. My intro to her came last month, when she opened for Brand Nubian’s show here in Atlanta. She’s a straight spitter, very reminiscent in tone to MC Lyte protegé, and X-Clan affiliate Lin Que.
