“When I die, I don’t want to leave a legacy of play…”
I was nervous for a little bit that Death of a Pop Star wouldn’t see the light of day this year. Luckily, the paperwork has been sorted out, and the much-anticipated David Banner and 9th Wonder album will be hitting stores on December 21 (not November 9 as Carson states in the clip). All the songs released thus far have been fire, so there’s no reason to think the entire album won’t be heat. In the below clip , Banner talks about overcoming disillusionment with today’s music, how corporatism kills cultures, and the maturation of his own sound. Don’t be surprised if we get an Album of the Year contender from these two.
