Joe Budden Addresses “Deadbeat Dad” Accusation

"Just spoke 2 a few of my sheriff friends.... amazing what an upcoming election will do," Budden stated. "Fuck it tho, curses come w(ith) blessings sometimes."

Joe Budden is citing election year politics and baby mama “bullshit” as the reasons he’s been singled out for allegedly owing $13,000 in back child support.

The news came yesterday shortly after Budden debuted the all-star track “Remember the Titans” for Mood Muzik Mondays. The Jersey Journal ran a front page story yesterday titled “Where I$ Joe?” The article reveals that the Jersey City emcee missed a May hearing, and now has a warrant out for his arrest.

On Twitter, Budden complained the matter was trivial, and sensationalism was the reason his situation made front-page news. The rapper also refuted that he has not paid child support.

“So I’m on the front page of the paper & the headline reads “unpaid child support”.. It SHOULD say “babymoms is back on her bullshit”, lol, ” Budden tweeted. “The headline say “WHERE’s JOE”…. Nigga I’m on Twitter w[ith] everybody else ! Great job genius…& WHY exactly is that front page worthy ?? I know SOMETHING else HAD to happen in Jersey city yesterday, smmfh.”

Joe Budden advised his fans that he has been in contact with his county’s sheriff’s department, and claims that he was told the high-profile warrant is to help with election year politics. Still, Budden believes the attention he’s received can be spun positively.

“Just spoke 2 a few of my sheriff friends…. amazing what an upcoming election will do,” Budden stated. “Fuck it tho, curses come w(ith) blessings sometimes.”

Joe Budden’s Mood Muzik 4 will be released digitally on October 26. At press time, Budden has not turned himself to New Jersey authorities.

*************************************************************

There’s too many details missing to verify if the claim is legit. But what I do know is that Joe Budden needs to hop off Twitter and handle this situation privately. Even now, he’s going back and forth with fans who are taunting him about being a deadbeat.

A lot of people sympathized with Nas’ child support situation because the amounts he was being asked to pay were deemed outrageous. Budden doesn’t appear to be getting that same luxury from fans. But that is irrelevant; he knows the truth and what he needs to do resolve it.

Whatever the outcome, expect Joey to speak on it extensively in a future freestyle.
