A few weeks ago, Statik Selektah made a trip to the Land of the Rising Sun for a special tour. As you’ll see from the below clip, Hip-Hop is thriving in the Orient. The video, shot by Doug York, features the song “Never Gonna.” It will be on a free EP that will be made available to everyone that purchases Statik Selektah and Termanology’s 1982 album, due out October 26.

CHRIS WEBBY

There’s not many, if any, Conneticut emcees on the radar. Chris Webby, of course, is looking to change that wiht a still untitled mixtape that’ll feature Joell Ortiz, and production from Big K.R.I.T., Doc Ish and Johnny Shipes. K.R.I.T. mans the boards, drops a verse, and handles the chorus for this joint, “Problem.” It definitely sounds like an outtake from his K.R.I.T. Wuz Here mixtape, but Webby doesn’t sound out of place.
