Spear chucker? Fuck that I toss javelins/And 5,000 bills in the face of James Madison…

Pharoahe Monch’s W.A.R. (We Are Renegades) album won’t see the light of day until 2011. But to hold fans over, Monch dropped a nice track from the project named “Clap.”  Those who picked up his last album Desire should now be familiar with Monch’s use of soul singers for many of his hooks. The content has a distinct political edge but nothing overtly preachy or pretentious.

This live performance was done on London radio for Kiss 100’s HIp-Hop Show, hosted by Shortee Blitz and DJ MK. This is the second deliberate leak from the album following July’s “Shine.” At press time, Duck Down has not locked in release date for W.A.R.

  1. Nice. I was just listening to OK- Stress The Extinction Agenda this morning. Good ole top-o-the workday music.
