Witness the Brutal Maccarinelli vs. Frenkel KO

The card had seven title fights featuring all of the premier boxers in Frank Warren's stable. One of the saddest developments was Enzo Maccarinelli's last appearance in the ring as a contender. Due to a inept ref, he suffered an unnecessary, vicious KO at the hands of Alexander Frankel

American fight fans are still trying to erase the bad memories of last Saturday’s abysmal PPV main event between Shane Mosley and Sergio Mora. But while American fans were moaning, UK boxing enthusiasts were treated to promoter Frank Warren’s Magnificent Seven Card.

The card had seven title fights featuring all of the premier boxers in Frank Warren’s stable. One of the saddest developments was Enzo Maccarinelli’s last appearance in the ring as a contender. Due to a inept ref, he suffered an unnecessary, vicious KO at the hands of Alexander Frenkel. David Haye, who knocked out Maccarinelli in 2008 to unify the cruiserweight title, rooted for his former foe and  was disheartened to see his career come to such an abrupt end. Maccarinelli was also ahead at the time of the stoppage.

At press time, Warren was still uploading the entire card to his Youtube page, which you can visit here.

Note: The finish comes at the 10:28 mark
