Lloyd Banks Launches Blue Friday Music Series, New Track “King/Do My Thing”

This song retains a marked tint of G Unit's early, celebrated mixtapes. From the vocal sample to Banks' chorus, it screams early 2000s and not in a bad way. Starting with the mediorce Rotten Apple in 2006, Lloyd Banks lacked artistic direction for a few years. But with "Beamer, Benz, or Bentley" hitting gold and a stacked lineup for the new LP (Eminem, Kanye West, will.i.am, Ryan Leslie, J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League), Banks is in position to make some noise riding into 2011.

Lloyd Banks is working with Kanye West for his new album Hunger For More 2. It appears West’s G.O.O.D. Friday music series has inspired Banks’ own marketing campaign, aptly titled Blue Fridays. Every Friday the youngest G Unit member will be releasing a new, non-album tracs leading up to the November 23 release of Hunger For More 2 (H.F.M.2).
