Manny Pacquiao is entering his second day of training in preparation for his junior middleweight debut in November against Antonio Margarito.

Pacquiao, who is trained by the outspoken Freddie Roach, has started preliminary pad work and exercising before he’ll arrive in America to finalize fight strategies with Roach.

Manny Pacquiao will be facing the biggest opponent of his career, giving up five inches in height (5’6 to 5’11) and six inches in reach (67 to 73) to Margarito, who weighed right at 154 pounds for his last bout in May. Pacquiao came in at 145 pounds for his March win over Joshua Clottey.

Pacquiao-Margarito will take place live from Dallas Stadium on November 13.

It’s an early video, but Pacquiao looks to be coming into camp is very good shape. The sharpness will come back as the camp progresses and Roach comes in.

Margarito is the larger fighter, but I expect Pacquiao to put a bigger beating on him than what Shane Mosley administered in January 2009. The Tijuana Tornado’s only hope is to pressure Pacquiao enough that he begins to wilt in the later rounds and become susceptible to his best punch, the uppercut. But Manny will be able to hit him at will, and at this stage of Margarito’s career I believe his chin is no longer as strong as it was before the battles with Cotto and Mosley. Without that asset, Margarito won’t be around himself to see the later rounds.
