A new album and movie haven’t stopped T.I. from beginning production work on a new animated series.
Titled “Lil Homies,” the cartoon is very early in development. In addition to production duties, T.I. will potentially serve as a recurring, on-air narrator for the show’s storylines.
“I’m actually working on a TV show right now as a producer,” he explained to Angela Yee of Shade 45’s. “[It’s] a cartoon … called ‘Lil Homies.’ I may do, like, voice over [work] … like a narrator.”
At press time, the series has not secured a network home. The rapper also declined to verify if the show will be aimed at adults or children.
T.I. will celebrate the national release of his new ensemble film Takers this Friday (August 27). The Grand Hustle CEO, who also served as a producer on the film, is holding a special red carpet screening in Atlanta tomorrow night (August 25) at Atlantic Station.
His seventh studio album King Uncaged has been pushed indefinitely to allow time for thorough film promotion. To date, T.I. has completed over 80 potential songs for the LP.
