You think Chad Dawson and Jean Pascal aren’t ready for their clash tomorrow night? This was one of the better staredowns I’ve seen recently; starts off decent and picks up towards the end. Doesn’t change my view that we’re going to get a tactical fight with some isolated explosive moments. It’s interesting to note that Wilfred Benitez was a defensive wizard but had probably the best staredowns in the late 70s and early 80s until Tyson came along. Both men are in phenomenal shape. The rumor is Dawson will face Lucian Bute if he wins. Considering Bad Chad’s physique, it’s clear the catchweight has to be as close to 175 as possible (reportedly it will be 171 pounds). Super-middleweight, despite what Dawson’s said before about making it, looks unfeasible.
