Statik Selektah was kind enough to drop a new leak off his June 18 album Extended Play. The production isn’t as strong as the previous joints we’ve heard off the LP, but this is still a solid offering nonetheless (especially on the lyrical tip).

Statik Selektah’s new video off his upcoming Duck Down release Extended Play (June 18) looks like it was filmed a few months ago at SXSW. Price and Miller are on hand for press/backstage renditions on verses with cameos from Schoolboy Q, Evidence and Alchemist. The clip is directed by Guy Blelloch.
Extended Play can be preordered HERE.
Hope the game makes you a better man… if you can survive it. Pos, Lecrae and Termanology reflect on the different games of life (love, hustling etc.) and how it’s shaped their current perspectives. Statik provides the necessary somber backdrop on the boards. This track will be included on Statik’s upcoming Duck Down release Extended Play (June 18).
“Like Water” is the visual stepping stone to what STEEZ lead for the listeners of revolutionary music.
Even though Capital STEEZ is gone, his memory lives on through this video from the Pro Era mixtape Peep the Apocalypse. The somber video takes place in Brooklyn and is directed by Jonah Schwartz. Statik Selektah is on the boards.
While some wax poetic about who’s going to “bring New York back,” you have artists like Joey Bada$$ who are steadily putting in quality work and improving with every project. This new Statik Selektah-produced single is the first offering off Joey’s forthcoming Summer Knights EP (June 12). Speaking of improvements, Statik Selektah deserves a huge shout. With this and his recent work with AZ, he’s looking to have a very strong showing over the last six months of 2013.
“We Movin’” is the first offering from AZ’s Doe or Die II project. Statik Selektah is behind the boards and has a good grasp on the type of sound long-time fans want to hear from an album carrying the name of AZ’s most celebrated album. No word on a release date. You can purchase “We Movin’” HERE.
Statik Selektah’s new album Extended Play (June 18) is a little over a month away. Today he leaks peculiar pairing from the project featuring Sean Price and Mac Miller. P handles the heavy lifting here, but Miller is serviceable.
The song is available for download HERE.
There was a lot of good joints off Funkmaster Flex’s Who You Mad At? Me Or Yourself? mixtape, but this is one of the few heaters I regularly go back to. Ortiz hits up PR and NYC with assorted cameos from Lil Fame, NY Giants player Victor Cruz, Livin Proof, Termanology and others. Only dude missing was Frankie Cutlass.
Funkmaster Flex has an absolute monster of a mixtape dropping on April 17. Don’t believe me? Check out this first leak off the project and then peep the 54-song tracklist of original material. Sounds like Flex has never lost his 60 Minutes of Funk touch.
